Hey guys!
Today's post is both lifestyle and beauty as you guys can probably tell from the title!
Now for the past couple of years ive been the type of person that has never been on the band wagon of always dying their hair from blonde to brown to red etc but there comes a time in everyone's life were you just have to take the bull by the horns and take that leap of faith! How cheesy did that sound?!

I've always been slightly worried because of seeing many friends and people around me dying their hair and then sometimes something going wrong along with all the disaster stories about peoples hair falling out!
The colour that i used was L'Oreal Paris Feria in P38 Violet Vendetta.
This hair dye retails for around £5 but it may be cheaper in certain shops due to promotions.
(My own pictures, sorry for the energy drink sneaking its way into the first picture)
From the back of the box i thought my hair would have more of a purple undertone than i actually have. I would have inserted a picture of my hair before and after but i completely forgot i was going to do a blog post about it and by the time i remembered i already had my roots coloured. At the moment in time i am using my iPhone 4s to take pictures with and for some unknown reason my hair colour isn't picking up as much as i would like it too!
In the natural light the purple in my hair really does shine through. The formula for this dye for me was no problem, the packaging does tell you to test a strand of hair out of visible site for example a section behind the ear. The things i found that was rather strange about this hair colour compared to the other ones i have been looking at is that they say you should test it 48 hours before you plan on dying your whole head, many of them i have looking into have only said 24 hours, this however didn't bother me, i had already waited one day one more couldn't hurt ha!
If your planning on dying your hair at any time i would recommend having your split ends trimmed off as i found with the simple test strand that the colour did stick to the ends more than it should because of the moisture that they are needing.
Washing the dye out of my hair took for what seemed like forever! Every single time i thought it has all finally come out a magic piece of hair would appear with loads of dye. Make sure with any hair dye you use that all the dye is washed out fully because you don't want to be ruining a towel ha!
Overall i am happy with my hair colour and the process that i went through and who knows i may end up being even more daring with colours next time!
I hope you guys enjoyed this post and found it helpful if you were like me and a tad worried about dying your hair, try some semi-permanent colours before settling and always follow the instructions in the box!
EDIT
I thought i would just add to this post as its been a while since i used this hair colour. Honestly for me, it isn't the best hair colour i have used. Every single time i washed my hair more and more colour leaked out and many times it seemed as if i was washing the colour off my hair again. I think it may have something to do with my hair type as to why it does that because its not only this hair dye that has done it many of the others i have tried do too. Due to it washing out i had many random brown patches from where the colour has just simply washed out and compared to other hair dye this one didn't really give off the purple-ness i would have wanted, but let me know what you guys think about this product as i would love to know if it worked for you!
Take care x
Hoping this colour will go okay over my dark blonde hair. I pray that it doesn't end up looking too dark.
