Crazy cinema experience! ♥

Hey guys!

So yesterday (Thursday 29th August 2013) me and my friend Jess went to see  One Directions new film 'This is us' in our local cinema.
I'm not going to do a whole blog post about the film because it is truly one of those films you have to go and see for yourself to enjoy it! It's an actual eye opener on the boy's life and now they act like normal boys and have fun with being on the road, you also get a look back on their lives before and it's just all cute and wonderful!
Anyways back to what this blog post is really about. While we were waiting for the trailers to start and then finally the film three very friendly women with capital FM  hoodies walked through the door! I started jumping around and predicting why they were in there and I was right! They had tickets in their hands!
If you don't know why I was so excited if because there is a festival in Birmingham this weekend called Fusion Festival were loads of amazing acts all come together for the weekend! Me and Jess had already got tickets for Sunday and we were throwing back and forth on the idea of getting them for Saturday and its a good thing that we didn't!
The three lovely women asked for someone to go down to the front and answer a question about Jessie J and a 7/8 year old boy ran down to the front to answer the question which would win EVERYONE in the cinema at that time a ticket to the Saturday section of the festival. And guess what?! HE ANSWERED IT RIGHT!! bless him because it was a room full of people and he must of been really nervous.
But yeah that was my crazy cinema experience! It was just a quick post but I hope you all have a wonderful Friday with what ever your doing and make sure you go check 'This is us' out at your local cinema!
Take care x

Gradient Sunset Nail Tutorial ♥

Hey Guys!
Many of you will not know this but i love doing my nails and experimenting with new designs and colours.
Recently i have been loving the gradient look and with it sort of being the summer time i thought it would be a great idea to do a little nail tutorial which you guys can do yourself or to your friends. There are many tutorials on YouTube which shows you how to add a palm tree or little birds onto this design but for me i just wanted it to be plain, simple and bright!
So i hope you enjoy my step by step picture tutorial to help you achieve this vibrant look!
I first started off with 3 beautiful colours. A red, yellow and bubblegum pink!
Now you can use any colours that your guys want but due to me watching the 'sunset' look i decided upon these.
The colours from left to right: ELF Smokin' Hot, NYC Lexington Yellow, ELF Gum Pink.
These colours really did blend well together creating the contract between the colours.
The next thing you will be needing is a cosmetic make up wedge sponge, you can get these rather cheap if you get them from the right places. I got mine from ELF while on a little bit of a spending spree in the past and have never used them for makeup as ive always used a brush. You get 8 of them online for £1.50 from ELF which i feel is a bargain!
The next thing i did was apply these colours onto the sponge in stripes, starting with the yellow and then pink followed finally by the red it should look something like this
Now you have your colours ready get your nail prepared for the colours with a base case! (For this mini tutorial im just going to used a fake nail so you can really see the end results) If you want to save some time paint the base before you start.
If your do end up using sheer colours i would add a base coat of white to enhance the colour. I however didn't do this as the colours i have very bold and do not need any help enhancing.
Time to apply the colours from the sponge into your nail!
You're going to do this by placing the sponge on your nail directly and start to rock the sponge over your nail to allow the colour to transfer. Once you have done this it should look something like this!
As you can see the colours have blended really well and you can fully see where one colour should start and end.
Next your going to allow this to full dry and then add a top coat to seal in the design! For this I used a matte topcoat.
or you could give the Sally Hansen super shine top coat if you're looking for that shiny nail look (or any other topcoat of your choice) !
Once applied it should look something like this (all adding a top coat will really do is hold your polish design for longer and blend the colours together more evenly!
And that is it!

Simple right? I told you but would be, even though the summer time isn't really the classic summer time here in England doesn't mean you nails can't be bright and colourful!
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial I hope to do more in the future for you guys if you liked them!
Have a good day/night
 Take care x

Despicable Me 2 ♥

Hey Guys!
I hope you're all having a great summer holiday, even thought the weather in the UK isn't to the best standards has it has been in a while.

Today's post is going to be about Despicable me 2!
Now for some of you out there that don't know what despicable me is, its a film based around a criminal mastermind that uses 3 orphan girls to help him with his new master plan but throughout the film his love grows for the 3 girls and changes him into a better person! The first film ends with the once criminal mastermind adopting the girls and taking care of them.
The second film is still along the same lines as the first one, they both have the genre of Family/Animation/Comedy/Crime. This film does have a little love twist which the other one didn't have. In this film Gru the main character who is the voice of Steve Carell gets asked to work for the Anti-Villain League to help discover a new powerful super criminal. We still have the family bond in this which is nice to see. The 3 girls who Gru adopts are Margo, Agnes and Edith. The 3 girls are played but Miranda Cosgrove, Elsie Fisher and Dana Gaier! All 3 of them play a big part in both of the films and allows younger views to connect to them via their animated actions in the film.
We also get to meet many new characters in this film which is good for us as an audience so we don't get too bored with the same characters but lets be honest who can honestly say their bored with the minions around!
I love the minions in these films so much, they are so cute and you could just imagine if they were real ha! It would be the best thing that would have ever happened, sad I know but they literally make me laugh so much that my sides hurt and now that there are the purple evil minions that have been Introduced to us it makes it even funnier :D

My opinion;
Personally this film is amazing and I loved every minute of It at the cinema and would 110% go watch it again without a moment of hesitation. It's a feel good, laugh out loud film and we all need a good laugh in a while!
I took my brother to see this film and he loved it just as much as I did!
If you get the chance too I would defiantly go see it in the cinema in 3D because some of the 3D effects it are mind blowing especially at the end, so make you you stay until after the little sections of credits to see the extra minion part at the end!

Overall I would give this film a 4.9 stars out of 5 because its a great film but I still think the original still wins my heart!
I hope this sort of helped you guys with deciding is it your type of film or not but like I have said before you need to experience the viewing for yourself to know if you like it it not! So why not go for a couple of hours "day out" to the cinema and give it a go!

Have a good day/night
Post soon x
